The old mill

Hallamölla is  the highest waterfall in Sweden’s southernmost province Skåne, so named after the old watermill just below the highest section. The Swedish name for mill is kvarn, but mölla is a dialectal word used in Skåne, derived from Danish mølle (Skåne once belonged to the Danes). The same word is found in italic, germanic and even uralic languages, mühle (German), mill (English), mulino (Italian), mylly (Finnish).
